65 Years of Freedom, 65 Years of Hope: Hon. Sunday Dekeri Anamero Reassures Etsako of Inclusive Development in His Independence Message

I, Hon. Sunday Dekeri Anamero, Member Representing Etsako Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.

Distinguished sons and daughters of Etsako land, My brothers and sisters,

On this special day as our dear country marks her 65th Independence Anniversary, I come before you with humility, gratitude, and an unshakable hope for our collective future. Today is not only a time to celebrate our freedom as a nation but also a moment to renew our commitment to building a greater Etsako for all.

Since you entrusted me with your mandate, by the grace of God and through your unwavering support, we have been able to bring visible and impactful development across our federal constituency. Together, we have:

Built schools across Etsako to shape the future of our children.

Donated medical equipment and medicines to clinics to improve healthcare.

Donated musical equipment to religious centres for spiritual growth and harmony.

Installed solar-powered streetlights to light up our communities and make them safer.

Installed boreholes across the constituency to provide clean and safe drinking water.

Constructed and equipped garri processing factories to boost local enterprise.

Distributed grinding machines and sewing machines to empower women and young entrepreneurs.

Donated agro-materials and fertilizers, alongside direct cash support to farmers, for better yields and sustainable livelihoods.

Empowered teachers with modern teaching equipment, including computers, to enhance service delivery to our children.

Sponsored pilgrims to the Holy Land, strengthening faith and devotion.

Sponsored bills and moved motions at the National Assembly to positively reshape our federal constituency.

Committed to annual enrollment for SSCE/WAEC, with 5,000 students annually and over 10,000 students enrolled in 2023 alone, ensuring that no child is left behind in education.

Empowered 32 people with millions of naira to establish businesses and sustain their families.

These are just a few among many efforts, and I assure you they are only the beginning.

I am deeply aware that some wards and communities are still waiting for development to reach them. To you, I say: be calm, be patient, and remain hopeful. Development is a journey, and I am fully committed to ensuring no village, no ward, no family in Etsako is left out.

From the very first day of my campaign, I made up my mind that if elected, I would make the sacrifice of selfless public service—and today, I am doing exactly that. Thank you for giving me this golden opportunity to serve you.

On this Independence Day, let us remain united, resilient, and supportive of one another. Our unity is our greatest strength, and our peace is the foundation on which progress will continue to thrive.

As your representative in the National Assembly, I pledge to keep using every voice, every platform, and every connection to attract more projects, empowerment, and opportunities for our beloved people.

May God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

May God bless Edo State.

May God bless Etsako Federal Constituency.

Thank you, and Happy Independence Day!

Signed

Hon. Sunday Dekeri Anamero
